If I can be brutally honest - I generally haven’t had great experiences with estate agents and don’t hold them in high regard. Poor communication, not listening, not being flexible (and many other things of you require a full list :) Ellen, conversely, has been amazing and genuinely made what could otherwise have been a stressful experience a real joy. From the off Ellen listened to what I was looking for, clarified my requests, and then set about showing me only properties I would be interested in. She was totally transparent in her thoughts on each instead of trying to ‘sell me’; she was super responsive; she flexed completed to my schedule and ultimately once we found a property I wanted to move into, I really felt that she went the extra mile not just to secure it but also get due diligence sorted and arrange all the start-up utilities etc. This may sound like an over the top note but I mean it with all sincerity. My cooperation with Dorothy from OKAY.com has been exceptionally pleasant and fruitful. In less than a week's time I went from a potential property visit schedule to a signed rental contract. Dorothy helped on everything including all the necessary documentation, communication with landlords and bargaining of the price to a reasonable level. While I was in Europe, she opened accounts at utility companies on my name, and I just had to sign everything at arrival and property handover.
