Hong Kong locals and expats alike enjoy their animal companions, and in my experience landlords are usually quite open to tenants bringing in pets. However, some buildings in Hong Kong do have a strict no-pet policy. It’s always best to let your agent know from the start that you intend on keeping pets so that he/she can check with the landlords and arrange for you to only view apartments that are pet friendly, saving you lots of time and making the flat hunting experience that much smoother for you and your furry friends.
