Per government sources, the additional duty will be payable when the following 3 conditions are met:
i. the transaction relates solely to the sale, purchase or transfer of a residential property
ii. the specified property came into ownership of the seller or transferor on or after November 20th 2010
iii. the specified property is sold or transferred by the seller or transferor within either:
- 24 months - if acquired between November 20th 2010 and October 26th 2012
- 36 months - if acquired on or after October 27th 2012
