Heike Degener is an experienced real estate agent who has worked with leading global and regional agencies in South Africa and Hong Kong for the last 7 years, consistently ranking among the top 5 agents. Since moving to Hong Kong in 2019, she has applied her skills honed from serving high-end residential clients in South Africa to acquire significant insight and expertise in the local Hong Kong pre-owned residential home market, with a focus on mid-segment sales for Hong Kong island.

Her well-developed negotiation skills are an asset in closing transactions even under difficult scenarios, aligning the sometimes diverging interests of sellers and prospective buyers toward a mutually beneficial outcome.

Originally from Germany, she qualified as a high school teacher of sports and chemistry at the University of Muenster, then furthered her studies as a yoga instructor and life coach. She believes that a keen interest in people and interpersonal relationships, combined with a wealth of intercultural experiences from extensive travel around the globe and 10+ years in South Africa, enhances her ability to better negotiate a deal to its successful outcome.

Heike resides on one of the outlying islands, where she recharges from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong’s fast moving pace. She takes the opportunities to go for a walk with her two dogs, go for a swim or run on one of the island’s clean beaches, or just enjoy a good pizza at the local restaurant.
