An important consideration for every individual, couple or family starting their home search is choosing a neighborhood that meets your needs. For Foodies, the right neighborhood includes great restaurants, bars, and bakeries. Here are a few districts that feature some of the best food and authentic French spots that my family and friends love!
Kennedy Town
On the Western edge of Hong Kong Island, Kennedy Town is the perfect mix of old and new, and one of the hottest neighborhoods in Hong Kong with the opening of the new MTR. My favorite restaurants in the area include: Boulagerie, its sister restaurant Bistronomique and Tivo, all great places to have a beautiful meal a few steps from your home.

Sai Ying Pun
Situated in the Northwestern part of Hong Kong Island, SYP is fast becoming one of HK’s trendiest neighborhoods, with the latest MTR line it's only minutes away from Central. Filled with bars and great restaurants and trattorias, this district is a real Foodie’s destination. Great spots include: Ping Pong Bar, The Metropolitan, Locofama, and Grassroots Pantry (now moved to Sheung Wan).

Soho
Located in Central, Soho is the most popular, buzzing, prime eating and drinking destination. Living in this district, you have your choice of countless international bars and restaurants. For a French themed evening, enjoy a cold drink at Pastis on Wyndham Street or a glass of wine at Le Tambour on Peel Street.

Repulse Bay
On the south of the Island, Repulse Bay is a perfect family place with amazing views of the Ocean, and great restaurants like Spices and The Verandah. Now, more cafes and restaurants continue to open at The Pulse shopping center, making Repulse Bay a nighttime hotspot. For a cocktail and a view at sunset, don't miss Limewood.

Stanley
Also south of the Island where large families prefer to settle, you can find beautiful beaches and a great plaza complete with lots of cafes and restaurants along the shore. Join the loyal French ex-pats at Stan Café and enjoy their great selection of cheese and baked goods.
